Entrepreneurship Workshop

 

This workshop focuses on two components: 1) business basics and budgeting; 2) business plan writing, marketing, and advertising.This worshop provides 40 hours of after-school instruction in the fundamentals of creating and running a business, managing a budget, and writing a business plan.

Students also learn about college majors related to entrepreneurship, such as business and marketing. Students will create a PowerPoint presentation to compete in a local business plan competition, planned and organized by Mentor Plus and community agencies. Participants will compete for the local "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" title and venture capital for business start-up.
